The Artisan’s Institute – Digitally Printed Textiles
As part of the Paisley TH.CARS2 regeneration programme (which is funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland & Renfrewshire Council) designers from the Disability Resource Centre have been taking part in workshops led by local textile artist Josef McFadden.
The fabrics on display have been digitally printed. Employing a variety of techniques, such as digital drawing and image manipulation, participants have each developed their own digital designs inspired by research into Paisley’s printed and woven textiles heritage.
