Accord Hospice Annual Exhibition
09/09/2022 @ 10:00 am - 17/09/2022 @ 4:00 pm

Accord Hospice invite you to take part in the ACCORD Hospice Annual Art Exhibition.
We are excited to have secured The Art Department at the Paisley Centre, this is an amazing, bright airy space that will be ideal for our exhibition. The exhibition will run from the preview on Thursday 8th September until Saturday 17th September and will be open daily from 10-4pm, Monday excluded, with 2 late night openings until 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
If you would like to take part, please can you provide us with 3 original paintings for the event. All paintings must have hanging screws and cords and be 4” from the top of the frame. The hanging boards that we use are 36” wide and lend themselves best to small and medium-sized paintings. All paintings, including the frame, must be no wider than 32”.
To help cover the running costs of this event we are asking for a £2 Hanging fee per painting and this should be paid on the receiving date when you bring your works.
NEW TO THIS YEAR
Would you be willing to paint a postcard size canvas to donate to our Mystery Masterpiece auction?
This year we are hoping to hold a Mystery Masterpiece online auction through eBay. We are asking you if you would be willing to donate a postcard size painting to the Auction. The canvas will be provided should you choose to donate. The Mystery Masterpiece will be on display at the exhibition, and all will have QR codes for people to bid. This has worked well for other charities so we thought we would give it a go!
Timetable for the Art Exhibition:
RECEIVING DATE for Paintings – Tuesday 6th September, 10am-12 noon
PREVIEW DATE – Thursday 8th September, 5-8pm
EXHIBITION CLOSES – Saturday 17th September, 4pm
UPLIFT DATE for Paintings: Sunday 18th September, 10am-12 noon
As in previous years, the Hospice will provide invitations, postage, catalogues, and serve refreshments at the preview. The commission on all works sold will be 50% and all monies raised in this way will be used by ACCORD to continue providing specialist palliative care to its patients and their families in their time of need. Some invitations will be sent to you nearer the time and we would be obliged if you could give these to corporate clients, family & friends.
We hope that you will be able to exhibit with us and would be grateful if you could let us know by Friday 15th April at the latest. You can email us at fundraising@accord.org.uk or give us a call on 0141 581 2000. We will let you know at a later date when the painting titles and prices will be required.
We look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Kind regards.
