The Gateways, a private members club and hotbed of lesbian night life – opened in 1945 in the heart of Chelsea and thrived until 1985. Join GWL’s Sue John in conversation with Rachel Jury, Artistic Director of conFAB, in advance of the world premiere theatre production of ‘The Gates: Love, Liberation and Respect’ (a joint conFAB and Dance HQ production).

This is also a chance to look at some rare
post war materials from the National Lesbian Archive Collection, learn about the central role of the Gateways Club in lesbian culture and hear about conFAB’s new production.
