Amy Lamé

Performer, TV and radio presenter appearing at Glasgay! 1995

Amy Lamé first appeared at the festival in 1995 and has appeared a few times since. She was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to London in 1992 where made her stage debut in her first one-woman show ‘Gay Man Trapped in a Lesbian’s Body.’ Lamé is also known for her radio and TV appearances on shows such as BBC’s Gaytime show Channel4’s Staying In Show and My Big Gay Prom.

In 1995 Amy Lamé co-founded the Olivier-award-winning performance-club-night and collective, DUCKIE, with Simon Strange, which she hosts every Saturday night at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern.
